Vintage Anglepoise 1227 Green & Polished Aluminium 1960s Desk Lamp With Green Flex
This is a lovely refurbished Vintage Anglepoise 1227 Green & Polished Aluminium 1960s Desk Lamp With Green Flex and two tiers. This Anglepoise has been sympathetically restored with British Racing Green paint and polished aluminium accents, and rewired with vintage style green braided flex.
For over 70 years, Anglepoise has created table lamps and table lights that are now British design classics. This particular example is in original condition but has been rewired with three core, 0.5mm CSA, green braided flex, and fitted with a modern UK plug to ensure that it is electrically safe and energy efficient. It has also been successfully electrically tested (PAT).
It would suit all sorts of rooms in the home, in addition to the office and workshop.
The quintessentially British three-spring 1227 design was invented in 1935 by the renowned engineer, George Carwardine, and the model is still going strong today!
Country of origin: Made in England by Herbert Terry & Sons Ltd, Redditch
Condition: In very good restored condition, however there are quite a few dents on the lamp shade, which don't show up very well in the photographs, and a few minor surface scratches. The shade is slightly out of shape.
The photographs have been taken both outdoors and indoors with flash, hence the difference in colour. The actual colour is closest the images taken outdoors.
