This Vintage 1940s Rolinx Green & Cream Plastic Pencil case / Pen Box With Two Compartments is an interesting and innovative design, and the perfect addition to a vintage office.
Made by Rolinx of Ledson Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester, maker of injection moulded plastic products and children's pencil boxes, founded by Maurice Robin.
Approximate Size:
- Width: 10cm
- Depth: 21.5cm
- Height: 3.8 cm
In pretty good condition with some scuffs, scratches, (a few are quite deep), and surface blemishes commensurate with age and use.
The cellulose acetate pencil case comprises two sections:-
- An upper section revealed by sliding back a tambour lid. This comprises 3 sections for storing pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, pen nibs etc.
- Pulling down the cream hinged lid on the side of the case reveals a compartment for storing up to 10 pencils.
