Ferranti Air Ministry Voltmeter 10A/12524 New In Box

This lovely little black coated meter is a Ferranti Air Ministry Voltmeter 10A/12524 New In Box.  Made by Ferranti Limited, manufacturers of electronics, particularly to the military.

The meter is in very good condition with some surface storage marks/dust. The brown cardboard box is complete, although the staples have rusted with age.

• Face Diameter: 6cm

A great little collectible for those whom love vintage test meters and militaria.

WWII During the war, Ferranti became a major supplier of electronics, and was heavily involved in the early development of radar in the United Kingdom. In the post-war era this became a large segment of their company, with various branches supplying radar sets, avionics and other military electronics, both in the UK and their various international offices. Valve production was expanded to supply other companies as well as Ferranti.
