Antique Noritake China Bonbon Dish 44048

This Green Fluted Antique Noritake China Bonbon Dish 44048 was made in Japan after 1911. I don’t know the name of the pattern 44048, and neither have I been unable to track it down on China Replacements websites.

In pretty good vintage condition, with some loss of green paint around the top of the dish. It would look lovely gracing any table filled with sweets, candy or berries or just for display. The gilding and floral design is quite beautiful, and looks amazing in candlelight.

The plate has no cracks, chips or restoration but is not perfect e.g. air bubbles in the glazing, but the defects have been present since it was first manufactured. 

This dish should not be used in an oven, microwave or dishwasher.

The back stamp was first registered for use in the UK from 1911. The printed back stamp is based on the Chinese character (Komaru), meaning ‘difficulty’.
