1950s Royal Winton Grimwades Lustreware Two Handled Plate
This is a gorgeous 1950s Royal Winton Grimwades Lustreware Two Handled Plate. I haven’t been able to trace the pattern name/number but its quite an unusual piece.
The lustreware is pinky-yellow with some stylish pink and blue flowers rising from blue grass, finished with gilded edges. A lovely addition to the Afternoon tea table or for serving sandwiches or canapés at a party. Or why not use it as a dressing table tray, then you can have it on constant display!
It’s in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, it does have some manufacturing defects, including pinholes, bubbles, and black specks which have been there since the plate was first made.
