Vintage Carlton Ware Pale Green Salt and Pepper Pots 1562
An unusual vintage set of Vintage Carlton Ware Pale Green Salt and Pepper Pots 1562, with embossed fruit and leaf design. The pair are pale apple green, high lustre, and in good condition with no cracks or scratches.
They are very tactile, and their design still feels contemporary even today.
Height of one pot: 13.5 cm
Diameter of one pot: 4.5 cm
Marked on the base with:-
Carlton Ware
England
1562
I have taken photographs with and without flash as the green of the set is quite difficult to capture. The actual colour is closest to that of the main image.

Carlton Ware was a pottery manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent. The company is known for its tableware, usually embellished with highly decorated leaves, flowers or fruit. It also made the ceramic toucans as promotional items for Guinness. It produced hand-painted domestic pottery in high art deco styles during the 1920s and 1930s. High lustre was introduced in 1949.
