Pair Of Shredded Wheat Bowls Commemorating The Cereal's Centenary
I love this 1990s Pair Of Shredded Wheat Bowls Commemorating The Cereal's Centenary! They are quite big and fit two of the iconic Nestlé (NABISCO) shredded wheat breakfast cereal ('donkey’s beds' as my Dad used to call them) side-by-side.
They are white earthenware, with a nice blue image of a country wheat harvest gathering on the inside of the bowl. A logo and centenary banner are printed on all four sides of the rectangular bowl. The top of the bowls are embossed with wheat and styled like the 1930s George Jones Shredded Wheat Bowls.
The centenary of the introduction of shredded wheat was 1892-1992.
In pristine condition, and never used, these bowls would make a nice addition to your collection of blue and white pottery or use every day to eat your donkey’s beds!
