This is a really nice Original Anglepoise 1227 1960s Cream Desk Lamp With Braided Flex and two tiers.
For over 70 years, Anglepoise has created table lamps and table lights that are now British design classics. This particular example is in original condition but has been rewired with red, white and blue braided flex, and fitted with a modern UK plug and low energy light bulb to ensure that it is electrically safe and energy efficient. It has also been successfully electrically tested (PAT).
It would suit all sorts of rooms in the home, in addition to the office and workshop.
The quintessentially British three-spring 1227 design was invented in 1935 by the renowned engineer, George Carwardine, and the model is still going strong today!
