1940s Velos Day-by-Day White Bakelite Desk Diary Stand
This Vintage 1940s Velos Day-by-Day White Bakelite Desk Diary Stand is an interesting design, and the perfect addition to a vintage office.
Approximate Size:
- Width: 10.5 cm
- Depth: 19.8 cm
- Height: 8.8 cm
- Distance between holes approx. 6cm
A lovely stylish piece of Art Deco office ware, it would have held a loose leafed day diary. I doubt that modern flip diary refills or note pads will fit without punching your own holes. In fairly good condition with some scuffs and surface blemishes commensurate with age and use. The metal parts of the stand are quite rusty but could possibly be polished.
The front of the stand is marked Galtona, which is probably the name of the company whom bought the stand.
Designed by Rees, Pitchford & Co, of 72-74 Victoria Street, London, UK, under the trade name Velos. This short-lived company was best known for its office equipment.
