Vintage White Bakelite Smiths Bimetallic Thermometer
This is a very unusual Vintage White Bakelite Smiths Bimetallic Thermometer. It has a lovely face, with an easy to read dial with a temperature range of 10 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

Made by the famous Smiths instruments of England on behalf of the glassware and chemicals manufacturer Burgoyne Burbrides & Co Ltd, of 16 Coleman Street, London: founded in 1714 and closed in 1952.
Rectangular in shape, with art deco style feet, it is encased in a cream Bakelite moulding, allowing it to display nicely on an office desk or mantelpiece. This 1940s bimetallic thermometer is in good working order. The white bakelite has no chips, cracks or restoration.
