Chad Valley 1960s Tap-Tap Wooden Toy Picture Maker
This is a fantastic vintage Chad Valley 1960s Tap-Tap Wooden Toy Picture Maker Your ‘little one’ would have been let loose with a wooden hammer and some nails to make simple small pictures of toys from different colour and shaped wooden blocks!
The set is in fairly good vintage condition, with some discolouration/scuffing/scratching to the box & leaflet. The cork block, nails and bricks have all been used. 'Alan' has written his name on the front of the box.
It was made after the Chad Valley Games company moved to the Harborne works and dates to about the 1960s. The toy comes with:-
- The original cardboard box
- A schematic leaflet showing the simplistic pictures of toys that could be made
- Metal Nails
- Cork Mat
- Wooden Hammer
- Colourful (red, green, yellow & black) wooden shapes (some shapes look to be missing)
Approximate Box size:
Width: 27.2cm
Depth: 22.8cm
Height: 2.7cm
These days, it would not be recommended for young children due to the number of small parts, or the fact you could nail your younger sibling to the cork block or cause general havoc in the home, but it would make a great nostalgic present for a craftsperson or wood worker or use yourself to produce a wall display for the nursery!
