1980s Grey Vintage Roberts RFM3 Radio Portable Battery powered MW/LW/FM
This is a dinky 1980s Grey Vintage Roberts RFM3 Radio Portable Battery powered MW/LW/FM, and is often considered to be the last of the traditional high quality radios that Roberts made in the UK.
Roberts Radio introduced their RFM3 model in 1984 and it remained part of their range until 1992.
Approximate Measurements:
- 23.5cm (9") width
- 12.5cm (5") height
- 7.5cm (3") depth
The RFM3 features LW, MW and FM reception from 88 to 108MHz. AM reception is by internal ferrite aerial, and FM by a 22-inch telescopic aerial to make the most of weak station reception conditions.
The radio is in very good original condition with some minor surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.
- The radio requires a PP9 battery (Cell) which, although not included, is still readily available from electrical retails and some High-Street stores.
The set has a grey rexine covering over the plywood case and works well on all wavebands and should give good service for many years to come.
Enjoy a piece of radio history with this fine little radio.
