1930s Spongeware Indoor Plant Pots Hampton Ivory By Swinnertons
These lovely, small, green and white Art Deco indoor planters are from the 1930s Swinnertons Hampton Ivory brand range. I’m not sure if they have a pattern number or name.
The planters/beakers are suitable for growing herbs on the kitchen window sill or for planting a few crocus bulbs.
Height: 9.5cm
Base Diameter: 5.7cm
We have 2 planters/plant pots in stock. The price quoted is for the pair.
Ribbed Green and beige mottled appearance, typical of sponge ware. One pot is very slightly paler in colour than the other.
‘Hampton Ivory’ was a trade name of Swinnertons.
Some manufacturing defects including glaze marks and black spots. No chips, cracks or restoration but there are a few nibbles around the neck and some slight loss of glaze. A must-have for lovers of Swinnerton Pottery or Spongeware!
