Wireless Set No. 46 was a manpack transceiver developed in 1942, principally for communication during beach landing operations. Frequency Range 3-9.1 MHz. It had three pre-set crystal controlled channels. R/T or MCW. Range: up to 10 miles using long type rod. The set was completely waterproof, self-contained and carried by one man. The combined dry battery pack was the same type as used with the No. 18 and No. 68 Sets.

This wonderful looking piece of kit is a WW2 WS46 Military Man Pack Radio Transceiver ZA 29542 EKC, which is the Army stores number.
This particular wireless set 46 (WS46) transceiver was made by Ekco (EKC). It hasn't been tested, and is sold as seen.
It is labelled:
Wireless Set No. 46 TPL CAT No. ZA29542. EKC
Serial no. 11600
In fair cosmetic condition with some surface scuffs, paint loss, and blemishes commensurate with age and use. It is missing the pressel switch on the front of the transceiver and does not have the canvas carry bag/accessories.
