This interesting piece of militaria is a WW2 WS31 Microphone Hand Type No.13 ZA 17605. Also used with a WS19, according to Wireless for the Warrior by Louis Meulstee.
The WS31 was a VHF man-pack wireless set and similar to the American BC-1000.
Made from black bakelite and stamped with the army stores reference, Mic Hand No.13 ZA17605, and G1 , it is in pretty good condition other than some surface scratching commensurate with age and storage. It is sold as seen, without connectors or mouthpiece cover.
A hand-held carbon microphone with push-to-talk button mounted on the side. Used with British military transmitters.
