WW2 Wireless Set WS38 MkII Man Pack Military Radio ZA13280
This is a valve operated WW2 Wireless Set WS38 MkII Man Pack Military Radio ZA13280.
In good external condition with minor surface marks and blemishes commensurate with age and use. There is a slight loss of surface paint and it has not been tested.
It comes with a non-original part in the form of a green painted connector / junction box for the headphones and microphone probably added later to update it for use with post-war Larkspur ancillaries. Original configuration could soon be restored by refitting the original 6 pin plug to the radio umbilical cable.
Wireless Set No. 38 Mk.II was a British Army manpack transceiver developed in 1942 for short range Infantry communication. Frequency range 7.4-9.2MHz. MO control.
I think the Serial no. is 115151 but it is difficult to read.
