WW2 Type 35 RAF Radio Loudspeaker IOU/204 Made For The Air Ministry

This is a WW2 Type 35 RAF Radio Loudspeaker IOU/204 Made For The Air Ministry with a brass plate on the front of the speaker case: it hasn't been tested.

Approximate Size (WHD):  11 x 11  x 6 inches

The wood cased loudspeaker is in fair condition with a RAF blue paint finish. It has paint loss, surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. The speaker cone is intact with two bakelite wire connectors at the rear. The speaker grille at the front is covered with a fine mesh, which is discoloured, and there is no rear cover.

It was made as both a wall hanging and a free standing unit with four rubber feet; one of the feet is missing.

Due to the defects, the price has been adjusted as a consequence.

It would have been used as a part of the airfield's public address system.

It would make a fantastic addition to a radio collection!
