WW2 Model E80 US Army Blasting Galvanometer By Gray Instrument Company
If you collect militaria or vintage technology, then this very nice genuine WW2 Model E80 US Army Blasting Galvanometer By Gray Instrument Company is just for you!
This type of galvanometer would have been used to test the electrical continuity in the circuits linking electric detonators (blasting caps). Manufactured by Gray Inst. Co., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
The leather case is in fair vintage condition with a few surface scuffs, rust, and minor scratches. The clasp/press stud is broken, and it is missing it's strap.
The meter is in excellent cosmetic condition, with some surface scuffs and scratches where it has been in contact with the tightly fitted transit case. It has not been tested but appears to be working: i.e. needle deflects when the battery is fitted.
The Galvanometer has a metal label on the face marked as follows:-
- Width: 8 cm
- Depth: 4 cm
- Height: 12 cm
