A lovely New Old Stock WW2 Lancaster Bomber Type 1 Visual Indicator 10Q/2 / Direction Finding D/F Meter In Its Original Box and packaging which is labelled:

Box Size (WHD): 15 x 14 x 14 cm

An artefact for the Lancaster Bomber Communications system, (cabled to the T1154 and R1155), which is very hard to find these days! In good unused condition, with some storage scuffs and blemishes, it was made in 1945.

The appended schematics show:-

  • The specification for the Visual Indicator
  • A schematic of the front and rear of the meter
  • The position of the Visual Indicator in the inter-unit cabling of the T1154 Transmitter and R1155 Receiver
  • The position of the meter in the Lancaster bomber cockpit (magnified)
