This unusual little black coated meter is a WW2 Dual Scale Voltmeter Model 232. Made By Sparton Of Canada it measures 0-30-300V, 30mA.

In pretty good condition, this brassed black coated instrument was designed as a panel meter, possibly for an aircraft cockpit. There are some scratches and missing paint off the surface but the brass outer rim is nice and shiny , and the gold coloured scale on a black background is easy to read.

Like many manufacturers in WW2, Sparton of Canada, London, Ontario, moved from making radios to electronic test equipment to support the war effort. After the war they became better known as manufacturers of Vinyl Records.
