This WW2 Air Ministry Warbird Engine Start Button 5C/540 Or Push Switch Type B is in great condition.

The RAF stores number 5C/540, AM (Air Ministry), and the Air Ministry crown are marked just inside the top face adjacent to the push button.

This type of start switch, (also having the stores reference 5C/898), was used in renowned WW2 warbirds such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito, and Lancaster, and usually has a sprung cover (5C/1267) fitting over the top (not included).
