A vintage WW2 Air Ministry Aircraft Crystal Monitor Type 2 10D/11390 As Used By RAF Radio Operators in well known Bombers e.g. Halifax, Wellington, Lancaster:-
where the RAF Stores No. 10D = Radio (Wireless and Radar) Equipment, Modulators, Panels, Receivers, Transmitters etc.
In pretty good cosmetic condition with a few surface blemishes, it has not been tested. It is powered through a receiver, and used with RAF radio sets such as the T1083/R1082 and T1154/R1155.

The Crystal Monitor Type 2 was used in aircraft to facilitate the initial adjustment and subsequent monitoring of CW transmitters and receivers. Operated on six spot frequencies, in the range of 1 to 7.5Mc/s, using quartz crystals. An external, seventh, extra crystal could be connected by sockets on the front panel.
