WW2 ACWEECO Universal AVO Minor Moving Coil Multimeter
This amazing little gadget is a 1940s WW2 ACWEECO Universal AVO Minor Moving Coil Multimeter made for the British Army.
A wonderful piece of electronic history, it does appear to be working but is being sold as a collectible only, and without probes.
It measures:-
- DC Volts: 5, 25, 100, 250, 500
- DC mA: 2.5, 5, 25, 100, 500
- AC Volts: 5, 25, 100, 250, 500
- Non-linear scale for 5 volts A.C
- Resistance 0- 20k ohm
The instrument was designed to take an EverReady U10 battery, which is now obsolete, and is not included. An AA cell could be used with, for example, a spacer or modified spring.
Serial number 115516-1151
The meter is in fair cosmetic condition with surface scuffs and blemishes.
