If you love owl ephemera as much as I do, then you will adore this absolutely beautiful, small, Vintage Turquoise Pottery Owl Shelley Style Desk Ornament. I have searched all over the internet for a possible manufacturer but with no success, so far…. It has no maker’s mark to help either!
It is in very good used condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some crazing, and it does have glazing marks and other manufacturing imperfections.
This cute little owl, quite Art Deco in style, dates to approximately the 1930s. It was probably made by one of the UK’s Staffordshire potteries, but I cannot confirm that.
As a small vase, it would look wonderful in the kitchen filled with herbs, succulents or a small trailing plant, or use it as a pencil holder/desk ornament: see images (dried flowers and pens/pencils are not included). A must-have for the owl collector!
