This mechanical Vintage Transcriptor Stylus Scales For Measuring Pressure Of A Pick Up / Tone Arm, comes in its original box with weights, instructions, and advertising leaflet.
In good condition with very little, if any, use, it is beam balanced with a spirit level built in.
Made by Transcriptors Limited, when based at 26 Bloomsbury Way, London WC1, it weighs the downward stylus force of a pick up /tone arm assembly designed to track at 5 grammes or less e.g. as used on The Transcriptor Reference Turntable. This version of the stylus scales dates from 1960-1966.

Provided with eight different weights:-
- Tweezers not supplied.
- Accurate to 1/50 gramme
- Weights in 1/20 gramme increments
