This valve based RAF Cockpit Vintage TR10056 UHF Standby Transmitter Receiver Radio ARI 23057 dates to about the 1960s and is ex-Nato equipment.
The unit is in fairly good cosmetic condition. It does have surface scuffs/scratches and blemishes commensurate with age, use and storage.
The unit has not been tested and is being sold as a collectible for display only.

It is purported to have been used in cold war jets such as the Hawker Hunter for radio communications between the aircraft and the ground.
A 2-channel, 24 volt, valve standby radio set, the TR10056 was manufactured between 1962 and 1972, and had a rotary inverter to generate the HT.
