Vintage Thorley China Captain Flint Character / Toby Jug

This is a gorgeous 1950s hand painted / handmade Vintage Thorley China Captain Flint Character / Toby Jug. In good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, and with vibrant colours. There are a few slight blemishes commensurate with age and use.

Approximate size (WHD): 10.8cm (Base Width) x 12.8cm (~5") x 13cm (maximum depth including handle)

Dressed in typical toby jug style, this Georgian-era Pirate, Captain Flint, is based on the character from RL Stevenson's Treasure Island, and sports a black tricorn hat, a green jacket with black eye patch and red/black striped Pirate style bandana. He has the ubiquitous yellow/green parrot perched on his left shoulder and a gold hoop ear ring in his right ear.

He is actually a character jug as it only depicts his torso and head.
