Vintage Swiss Hand Carved Wood Figure Of A Man With Hat and Pipe Folk Art Souvenir 

This is a very cute Vintage Swiss Hand Carved Wood Figure Of A Man With Hat and Pipe Folk Art Souvenir, possibly made by Anri or Dobin.

In good condition with some some surface blemishes and discolouration, it only weighs 10g and is pretty small.

Approximate Size WHD:  3 x 6.6 x 2.3 cm

Dating to the 1960s/70s, it was bought as a souvenir by a family member after an extended trip to Switzerland.

Rustically carved / whittled, the figure is a caricature of a typical black forest man sporting a black hat, holding a pipe, with brown trousers, black shoes and a white shirt with blue collar.

The dark wood has been lightly coloured with dye which looks stronger in the images than in reality. There is a symbol on the base but I can't work out what it is...

The photos were taken with/without flash hence the colour differences. The actual colour is much darker.

A nice piece of treen for the collector!
