Vintage Solartron Attenuator CR561 75 Ohms

This small scientific instrument is a Vintage Solartron Attenuator CR561 75 Ohms.

Dating to the 1950s/60s, this attenuator was made for experimental calibration of power level meters and adjustment of signal levels or anywhere where power level needs to be controlled.

It is in good used condition with a few surface scuffs/scratches, and two coaxial connectors on the rear.

Very little damage to the blue covering. Absolutely no corrosion anywhere. A few minor dents here and there. Considering its age, in wonderful condition. Will be great to source a battery and see it shine again. A thing of practical beauty!

I have recently got into Ham Radio and was looking for my first power supply. My colleagues in my radio group had all given advice and one or two of them had this power supply and rated it highly. I searched the internet and came across this second hand unit at a reasonable price. The full description gave me confidence that the seller knew their product so I took the plunge.
The Power supply arrived very well packaged and quite promptly after my purchase. It was exactly as described and although the case had some minor marks, it didn’t detract from the overall look.
It is now installed in my shack and will become an integral part of my new hobby.
I am very happy with my purchase and I will be happy to buy again from this seller.
