Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham King Size Egg Coddler

This is a lovely example of a Vintage Royal Worcester Evesham King Size Egg Coddler. It features a peach, a leaf, and sprig of red currants around the sides. The Evesham range was originally designed by Prof. Robert Baker, R V Ruyckevelt & the Worcester design team in 1962.

Two eggs can be coddled (poached) inside a King sized coddler. It can also be used as an egg cup.

Approximate Size:

• Height Base to top of lifting ring: 10.2cm (4")
• Height Coddler Body Without Lid: 8 cm
• Approximate Maximum Diameter: 6.5 cm
• Base Diameter: 4.3 cm

In pretty good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The screw threads, lid  and rim are metal, which is scratched and pitted: (looks worse in the photographs).

The Royal Worcester backstamp is black and imprinted over the glaze. It includes the Registered Trademark symbol.
