Vintage Rabone 2ft Box Wood & Brass Folding Ruler No.1167

This beautiful 24" rule is a Vintage Rabone 2ft Box Wood & Brass Folding Ruler No.1167. 

In pretty good condition this is a much loved, easy to read, and well used 24 inch ruler with a few scuffs, scratches commensurate with age and use. 

The brass arch joint, with brass pin hole, folds the two halves together (30cm/12"), and  it folds again into a quarter (6") via brass hinges.

Made in England by John Rabone and sons, of Hockley Abbey Works, Whitmore Street, Birmingham. A manufacturer of high quality spirit levels, rules and rulers which was established in the 1700s by Michael Rabone.
