Vintage R757 Roberts Radio With Red Leatherette
This portable, battery powered, 1990s Vintage R757 Roberts Radio With Red Leatherette is in very good original used condition. It is housed in a cabinet which has red leatherette and black accents.
- The battery box is clean with no sign of any spills or rust.
- Based on the design of a Roberts Transistor Radio, the R757 has no transistors but three integrated circuits. There are sockets for a 9v mains power supply and earphone (neither are supplied). Internal layout and circuitry are identical to the Revival R250.
- Requires a 9 volt PP9 battery/cell (not supplied due to the difficulty in shipping items with batteries) or the Roberts PU609 mains adaptor (not supplied).
- Fully checked and cleaned, it is in working order on all wavebands (FM/MW/LW), as well as being in good cosmetic condition with a few minor scuffs/blemishes and slight corrosion on the metal. It even has its original triangular Roberts label!
- Sporting a matching red leatherette covered carry handle, it stands on four rubber feet to aid stability and prevent furniture scratches. The top of the radio is gold in colour with black accents. The radio is complete with original knobs and Roberts badge.
A retro ‘modern’ (over 20 years’ old) Roberts, which retailed for approximately £90 when new, and has since been superseded by the advent of the Roberts DAB Digital radio.
Reliable, chic stylish and a style icon, this beautiful radio would be a welcome addition to any radio collection or as a retro period statement piece home accessory.
