Vintage Miniature Radio Fitted In A Snuff Tin With Acos Microphone Ear Bud
At first it looks like a needle tin or snuff tin but this is actually a homemade Vintage Miniature Radio Fitted In A Snuff Tin With Acos Microphone Ear Bud.
In reasonable, *non-working, cosmetic condition with some rusting and pitting to the rear of the tin. There is a large blue plastic 'volume' button on the rear.
The snuff tin is a similar shape and size to a gramophone needle tin.

*We have opened the snuff tin and the circuit architecture appears complete but we have no way to verify this. It appears the radio is powered by a mercury button cell to which wires have been directly soldered and then wrapped in passe-partout insulation tape. We believe that substituting the current spent cell with a modern watch battery may restore restoration. However, we cannot confirm that it is in working condition hence the price has been reduced accordingly.
Irrespective, this is an interesting piece of miniature vintage technology and a nice little project if you should wish to restore it to working order.
