Vintage Kelsboro Ware Toby Jug With Pink Coat And Blue Trousers

This is a gorgeous 1950s Vintage Kelsboro Ware Toby Jug With Pink Coat And Blue Trousers. Small enough to use as a milk jug / creamer or a herb / posy vase.

He was made as ‘Kelsboro Ware’ at the Longton New Art Pottery Co Ltd, in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries, which was established in 1932.

In good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, and with vibrant colours. There is slight age related crazing.

Approximate size (WHD): 6.5cm (Base Width) x 13.5cm x 12cm (maximum depth including handle)

Dressed in typical toby jug style, the Georgian era gentleman sports a black tricorn hat, a white wig, and is holding a jug and tankard of beer whilst sitting on a brown chair. He has lovely ruddy cheeks and looks very pleased with himself! 

The backstamp reads:
