Vintage Joseph Lucas M24 Cyclometer Bicycle Mileage Meter
Own your little bit of cycling history in the form of this 1930s Vintage Joseph Lucas M24 Cyclometer Bicycle Mileage Meter.
In fair used condition, the cyclometer is missing its mounting bracket- see advert in the photos.
Made from non-ferrous metal, this mechanical device attached to the front wheel spindle and clocked the miles with each bicycle wheel revolution striking the 5-point star on the cyclometer. The meter resets to zero once 10,000 miles are reached or you could manually reset by laboriously turning the star wheel back to zero!
I've manually turned the 5-point wheel and the cyclometer is still counting.
