Vintage Hand Carved Hardwood Asian Elephant And Calf Figurines

These wonderful Vintage Hand Carved Hardwood Asian Elephant And Calf Figurines date to the 1960s and were possibly bought as a souvenir after a trip overseas. 

Made from ebony or ebonised hardwood, they were probably made in Asia as they have the smaller ears associated with elephants from the Asian continent.

They have a great personality with their eyes, toe nails (on the mother), and tusks made from bone. In fair condition the mother elephant is missing a toe nail, and the calf is missing a tusk and has a crack around the tail but they still display quite well.
