Vintage H&G Micro Telescope Pocket Optical Instrument
This novel looking clip on pen is actually a portable Vintage H&G Micro Telescope Pocket Optical Instrument. A compact combined x50 Microscope and x10 Telescope, made in Japan during the mid-to-late 20th century, it comes with its original box and instructions.
A highly collectible device it utilises a pull-out, reverse-lens mechanical system to pack two distinct magnification functions into a single pen-sized metal chassis.
- Microscope Mode: 50x magnification, designed for up-close viewing of flat surfaces, textiles, or biological specimens when held directly against an object.
- Telescope Mode: 10x magnification, operating as a compact, handheld monocular for distance tracking or viewing landscapes.
In pretty good condition for its age, there are a few scuffs and blemishes and the eye piece is a little dusty.
Approximate Size:
- Maximum Diameter: 1.5cm
- Length when retracted: 11.7 cm
- Length when extended:- 18cm
NB: Accessories are shown for illustration only and are not included in the sale.
