I think this Vintage ERIE IR-48 Insulated Resistor Kit 15 Ohms to 10 Megaohms would make a great display for the engineer/scientist. I would actually have them mounted/framed on a picture board!
However, if you want to actually use them they are all Erie, Type 108, 0.5W Carbon Resistors which come with their own bespoke metal case.

The Kit, IN-48, contains 44 Resistors ranging from 15 ohms to 10 Megohms. {4 resistors are missing including; 15Ω, 27Ω, 15K Ω, 22K Ω}. Each resistor is mounted on a piece of cardboard. There is a colour code chart stuck to the inside of the case detailing the colour band associated with each resistor value.
The tin does have significant surface scuffs and blemishes but is intact.
