Vintage English Sound Make Portable Paraffin Picnic/Camping Stove

This little object is an unusual Vintage English Sound Make Portable Paraffin Picnic/Camping Stove.

The stove comprises three parts; a brass top which screws over the top of the wick element, a brass plug, and a steel base with handle and three fixed rails. The wick probably needs replacing and the steel parts are very rusty.

The base is marked:

English Sound Make

It hasn't been tested to see if it works and I have no idea of the manufacturer or date of manufacture but approximately 1950s.

A very nice collectible camping stove for the collector and connoisseur!
