Jasper Ware or Jasperware is an unglazed vitreous fine stoneware made in blue, green, lilac, yellow, brown, black or white; one piece could combine three or more of these colours. Developed by Wedgwood but used extensively by other manufacturers in the Potteries area including Dudson Brothers.
Dudson is a family of British potters renowned for their hotel ware and jasperware. They are the oldest surviving ceramic business in 'The Potteries,' Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire.
