Vintage Dictograph Head Phones Type R-1 1500 Ohms

This pair of Vintage Dictograph Head Phones Type R-1 1500 Ohms, {a nominal total of 3000 ohms}, is in very good condition considering its age.

A fantastic representative of radio/broadcasting history, this radio head set was manufactured by Dictograph Products Corporation, New York, USA. They date to the 1920s/30s. A wonderful addition to a radio ephemera collection, and very stylish, they are being sold as a collectible only.

These Type R-1 have Black bakelite earpieces, Aluminium earpiece cradle, and wire headband with the original leads and plug. The headphones have a few scuffs and surface scratches commensurate with age and use.

The earpieces have been tested, and the overall impedance at the plug termination shows ~ 5 MΩ (Megaohms), which is significantly higher than the specification.
