Vintage Desk Top Aneroid Barometer Set In SA Green Slate With A Brass Surround

This is a beautiful Vintage Desk Top Aneroid Barometer Set In SA Green Slate With A Brass Surround.

In good working condition with some surface scuffs and blemishes in accordance with age and use. I can't attest to its accuracy.

The hand made slate surround was made by SA, based in the UK. The label on the base plinth states 'Quality products From Slate. 450 million Years Old'

The barometer is German made but I can't find out who owns the company logo: (a coiled spring).

Pressure is measured on the outer scale in inches mercury where 1 inch mercury (inHg) =  33.8639 mbar, and on a smaller inner scale in mb (millibar) where 1mb = 0.02953 inHg

The white face is marked in English with black lettering including Stormy,  Rain, Change, Fair and Very Dry.

A very nice compact desk barometer!
