Vintage Crabtree Brass / Porcelain British Toggle Light Switch With Earth.

For all collectors of period homewares or Architectural salvage, we have a genuine Vintage Crabtree Brass / Porcelain British Toggle Light Switch With Earth. It dates to about the 1930s/40s.

The face is brass and the back is ceramic.

Ceramic is embossed with:

British Made

Crabtree Patent C1100

5156.7 Vitreous 79.11-5

Approximate size:
Base Diameter: 6.9cm
Approximate height (base to tip of switch): 5.5cm (excludes earth screw)

It is in reasonable vintage condition. There are a few scuffs on the surface and the brass is discoloured but may benefit from a careful polish.

The switch is not up to current IEE regulations. It has not been restored or tested, and is sold as a collector’s item only.
