This very practical tin is an empty Vintage British Army Ration Tin C18 JES/52. I think it is a 1-day 2-person ration tin, dating to 1952, and packed by JES.
Approximate External Size:
- 22.7 cm (Width) x 15cm (Depth) x 12.4 cm (Height)
- Nominally 9 x 6 x 5 inch
In fair cosmetic condition; with scuffs/scratches, loss of surface coating, and some small areas of rust. The leather strap is discoloured and worn; the buckle and part of the strap are also missing.
This listing is only for the empty tin which is quite heavy at 1.6 Kg unpacked weight.
