Vintage British Army Electrical Components / Hardware Spares Tin With Hinged Lid 2 Inch Height

This very practical green military steel tool box is an empty Vintage British Army Electrical Components / Hardware Spares Tin With Hinged Lid 2 Inch Height. I'm not sure of its age or original use... 

The inside contains nine compartments divided by green metal strips, some of which are slightly loose. There is no closure fitment. In fair cosmetic condition with scuffs/scratches, loss of surface coating, and areas of rust.

• 28.6cm (Width) x 16cm (Depth) x  5cm (Height)

It could be used for a whole host of storage of small items from screws/ nuts / washers in the garage to electrical components.
