Vintage Analogue Watt Test Meter In a Case Used in RF Radio Transmission Sending

This unusual item is a Vintage Analogue Watt Test Meter In a Case Used in RF Radio Transmission Sending for measuring the electrical power of a circuit.

These sorts of meters were used during WW2 and up to the 1950s in radio communication for amateur radio, military and laboratory testing. This one is sold as a collectible for display only and has not been tested.

In pretty good cosmetic condition, the meter is housed in its own, unusual, outer aluminium case with 4 input/output connectors on the rear. It sits neatly on four rubber feet on a work surface. There are some surface blemishes and crazing in the case paint, which is more noticeable in the images than on visual inspection.

Approximate Size (WHD): 9.2 x 11 x 10.8 cm

The meter, with a bakelite surround, features an analogue scale, labelled "WATTS," which has a range from 0 to 40 with a red line at 30 watts.

A metal plate labelled Sending is attached with screws to the bottom face of the outer casing. This indicates its use in radio transmission or communications equipment to monitor the output power being transmitted.

There is a small screw located at the bottom centre of the meter face which is the zero-point adjustment.

A very nice desk ornament or a vintage tool for the radio shack!
