Vintage Air Ministry RAF Radio Set Earthing Switch 10F/1276

We believe that this unusual piece of vintage technology is a Vintage Air Ministry RAF Radio Set Earthing Switch 10F/1276.

The 10F Air Ministry designation is for Radio (Wireless and Radar) Starters and Switch Gear.

This type of switch would probably have been used to switch the aircraft radio set to an earthing rod during lighting strikes to prevent frying the communications equipment.

Made from Bakelite and non-magnetising metal, it measures approximately (W.H.D): 9.5 cm x 4.8 cm x 7.6 cm

In good condition, it is marked with the Air Ministry crown, A.M and 10F/1276. An interesting WW2 curio for the Aeronautica or radio communications collector.
