A multitude of iridescent colours, the bottle opener is in very good condition with a few minor scuff marks. The design of the fish tail allows it to either lie flat or be displayed upright.
Approximate size:
- Length: 17.2cm
- Height 3.8cm
- Depth: 4cm
These items were usually handcrafted in the 1970s in Mexican Alpaca Silver as a frame for the Abalone: a protected marine gastropod mollusc, which is increasingly rare as it is sought as a food delicacy in addition to its beautiful shell. (See image below, as shown on Wikipedia, of an Abalone shell next to a coin.)
A wonderful piece of Kitchenalia which you'll just want to have on show!
