The book was given as a first Christmas present from Wife to Husband in 1957 with an inscription on the inside cover:

‘A Galaxy of Good Wishes To a Heavenly Husband on Our 1st Christmas 1957’

Wow, what a lovely sentiment. I dread to think what my 'other half' may have written on our first Christmas together... I don't think I would have been called 'Heavenly!'

The husband was obviously a keen astronomer and alien watcher as there is a handwritten observation note, slipped inside the book, written on 19th September 1973, and newspaper clippings relating to, what we now refer to as, U.F.Os.
