Stanley G150 Prismatic Military Marching Compass NATO 6605-99-537-9034

This fine looking piece of militaria is an original Vintage Stanley G150 Prismatic Military Marching Compass NATO 6605-99-537-9034, dating to pre-1977 and made by W. F. Stanley & Co Ltd., London; a well known British manufacturer of precision surveying, drawing and measuring instruments.

Approximate Size:-

• Diameter: 6cm
• Height:  3.5cm

The rear of the compass is marked:

Condition:

• Made from brass and over painted in British Army green, it is in good cosmetic and working condition
  
• There are slight scuffs and blemishes on the surface, and it would probably benefit from a gentle clean
• The compass is intact, and still contains the original fluid damped disc
• A Prism magnifies the dial for precise readings whilst looking at a target
• Luminous lines and Nuclear (Tritium) Light, (hence the partially missing 'radioactive' label on top of the compass), to aid in night navigation.

Beautifully engineered, the G150 compass was supposedly easy to maintain but, if you look at the attached schematic of all the component parts, I'll let you be the judge!
